Write letters to and for our gender expansive community members.
Use the padlet below to respond to one of the following prompts.
- Write a letter to a trans or non-binary person in your life (this can also be a letter to yourself). What do you want to know from them? How can you offer support in a way that prioritizes their needs? If they are no longer living, what do you wish you could say to them?
- When have you experienced gender affirmation or gender euphoria?
- Write a letter to your state representative about a recent piece of transgender legislation. What are your concerns? Include any personal testimony that will help you make your point.
On Transgender Day of Remembrance, we want to invite our community to leave their letters on our website, so that others may draw strength, love, and inspiration from them. You can also share links to writing and resources that commemorate and honor transgender life. If you need to view the padlet in a larger window, click the button in the top right corner of the box below.
