Amanda Smith is a visual artist whose work incorporates narratives to prompt the visual imprints. She uses the materials of her childhood—wool, cloth and thread—to tell of the world she experiences and watches others experience. She weaves personal anecdotes into her work, using them to make sense of life and the universe! Raised in Aotearoa, she has lived and worked the last five years in Brooklyn, New York. She holds an MFA in Fine Arts from School of Visual Arts, New York.
