Currie Engel is a reporter at Hearst Connecticut who covers general assignment news and health stories. Originally from North Carolina, Currie has lived in the tri-state area for the past six years, attending Princeton University and then Columbia Journalism School for graduate school. She found her passion for journalism through creative writing and still loves to journal on the side. Before she could write or type, Currie would dictate stories for her mother to type on their 2000 desktop computer. When she’s not writing, Currie is usually on a long run or singing Broadway karaoke.
