Artist‘s Statement
Before taking their own life, my friend left one final message. "Hey everyone, if I’m not back here in a few days, please sing a song for me." I couldn’t sing a song for them to fulfill their last request, but I could write a poem instead. And it took ages, but I finally did get around to finishing the poem—and healing from my own grief. This poem helped me find acceptance, perhaps it will help you find yours as well.
