Kym Richardson created early childhood development content, writes fiction and screenplays that center on reclaiming identity, purpose, and community in the face of loss. Her stories were semifinalists in the 2020 American Short(er) Fiction Contest. Her scripts have been finalists in the Sundance Institute’s Screenwriters Lab and the Tribeca Film Institute’s All Access Program. Kym has been a juror for the Scholastic Writing Awards. She received a New York Foundation for the Arts grant and a MacDowell Colony Fellowship. She is a graduate of Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism and Colgate University.
