Kym Richardson is a writer whose work centers on reclaiming identity when all hope seems lost. Her stories were semifinalists in the 2020 American Short(er) Fiction Contest. Her feature screenplays have been finalists in the Sundance Institute’s Screenwriters Lab and the Tribeca Film Institute’s All Access Program. She is a mentor in the Girls Write Now Writing Works and Writing 360 programs and has been a volunteer juror for the Scholastic Writing Awards. Kym is an editor who creates motivational, social-emotional, life skills, and career exploration content for high schoolers. She has received a New York Foundation for the Arts grant and a MacDowell Fellowship. She is a graduate of Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism and Colgate University.
