Artist‘s Statement
Culture and community are a huge part of my life. I try to reflect my experiences as an Indian American teenager through my work, especially with the lack of brown representation in the media. In my writing, I love to incorporate a piece of my culture and Telugu ethnicity through characters, traditions, familial relationships, and so on. My story is told through each piece I write, and I can’t wait to grow and mature with my work.
