Girls Write Now Live is more than a show; it’s a movement—a gathering that pulses with the power of shared stories. A celebration of diversity and authenticity.
Whether streaming virtually or hosted by the N-Y Historical Society, Girls Write Now Live showcases the best original work from NY teen writers. It’s also when the Girls Write Now community comes together to champion the voices of the next generation of writers. Mentees share the spotlight with one another, performing and presenting their best pieces, developed with guidance and oftentimes collaboration with their mentors. At this series, we have been proud to honor women and gender-expansive authors and media makers—Roxane Gay, Ashley C. Ford, Abi Daré and many more!—who inspire and help amplify the voices of the next generation of writers and activists.
