Mauvy Glow Makeup Tutorial

Makeup is one of my passions, and it serves as my creative outlet. I have always wanted to expand on it and move it to social media. I created a page on Instagram where I showcase my makeup looks. Although I am more comfortable with makeup pictures, I wanted to create a makeup video. This video demonstrates one of my favorite colors and the way I do my makeup, and the song in the background is one of my favorite K-pop songs. This is my personal attempt at creating makeup videos, and I can’t wait to learn more and improve my skills.
Process
I am more comfortable with makeup photos, but I wanted to try videos as well. This was difficult for me because I lack experience in video editing, but with the help of my friends, I was able to accomplish this. I used the popular social media platform TikTok and iMovie to edit. I am very proud of my makeup look and this video, and I hope you all enjoy it as well.

Hadia’s Anecdote: Monique and I bonded over food, music, and our journey with the STEM field and writing. I came to see how smart and cool she is and became instantly comfortable with her. She has been such a great help when it came to my college applications and really pushed me to become a more confident writer. She helped me navigate through my problems and was always ready to listen to my very long rants about anything. Having Monique as my mentor was an honor and I am looking forward to her meeting her goals and expanding on her passion for writing.
Monique’s Anecdote: Hadia is one of the most thoughtful and self-aware teens I’ve ever had the privilege of knowing. She bustles into our sessions every week with a story to tell, a question to ask, or a problem to solve that she’s been puzzling over. Hadia is someone who lets her passion for social and political awareness shine through, while also being equally passionate about K-pop, technology, and makeup. I’m honored to have had Hadia as my first mentee and I can’t wait to see not if, but how she cements her place in history!
