Today, we’re constantly being criticized for how we look, what we wear, and how we act, and we’re forced to change ourselves to avoid criticism. Alana faces the same problem. She loves her long, jet black hair. But as her hair gets increasingly longer, people are starting to talk about her, and especially her hair. Feeling pressured, she decides to cut her hair short. She feels bold, but something doesn’t feel right…
Process
The idea for my QWERTY project came from when I hit a wall in my previously planned project. When I went with my brother to get his haircut, my new idea came to me. I used FlipaClip and learned how important it was to pay attention to detail, which would help me create a smooth video. One surprise that I came across was that a lot of the frames could be the same and would actually help contribute to a less choppy project.
