Submitting Your Piece:
Each member of Print 360 is eligible to submit a piece for the zine. Mentees and mentors can choose to submit separately or they can create a pair piece and submit their piece together. More details on submitting your piece here.
Beginning January 15, you will be able to submit your piece through the submission form in your portal.
You can create anything you’d like to for the zine! Do you want to write a poem? Compose a song? Make a podcast? Write a profile on someone you admire? Explain why your Libra moon makes you the greatest person to ever live through the form of an interpretive dance? Go for it!
- We’re focusing on food and culture (we’ll have some lessons coming up in the next few weeks on writing about both of those aspects to help you!), but the theme is intentionally broad so that you can embrace your creativity to make something you love!
- If you would like to create something digital, we love that! Don’t feel like your piece needs to be words on a page in order to be printed. This zine will live online primarily!
- We will also produce a limited run of printed copies – for these, digital content will be linked with QR codes. Let Emily Rigby know if you need a QR code!
- In terms of length, there is no minimum. Max length, I would say somewhere around 2,500 words (10 pages double spaced). (the submission form will give a maximum of 850 words; you can disregard that for this project!)
- The level of collaboration can be decided by each pair – you can work together on a piece, work separately on separate pieces, or work separately on different aspects of a piece (example: writing and designing); whatever works best for your pair!
Pieces for the zine must be submitted by February 5, 2024 in order to be included!
