Summer Exploratory: Activists or Storytellers

Thursday, July 6
6:30-7:30 pm ET
Online | Open to prospective Mentees & Mentors, parents, guardians, educators, community based
organizations, and companies.
Wondering if Girls Write Now is the community for you? Join us at our Summer Exploratory where you’ll learn about Girls Write Now’s Collaboratory—Learning Journeys, Studios, Mentorship, and more.
Girls Write Now welcomes mentors (25+) and mentees (14+) who are cis women, transgender men and women, non-binary, 2Spirit, genderqueer, and other gender expansive identities around the nation. We are a space for creation, learning, friendship, networking, professional development, and collaboration, especially for those who have not been given respect, opportunity, and care due to their gender identity.
At this Summer Exploratory, you’ll hear from our veteran mentors and mentees about their Girls Write now experiences, jump right in with an exercise on activism and storytelling led by Girls Write Now Community Manager Emily Mendelson, and learn how to apply to the Collaboratory. Plus, we’ll have a Q&A, so come with questions! We hope to see you there!
