Building a Healthy Relationship
By Lyla Malcomson
Are you struggling in your relationship right now? If you’re getting exhausted and unhappy, I’m here to help. In my relationship advice podcast, I talk about the top three factors you need to build and maintain a healthy relationship. I have experience from my own relationship, and I’ve also been told I give good advice for other relationships! If you’re feeling stuck, but you want to save your relationship, this is the best podcast for you.
Process
I have always been good at giving relationship advice to my friends. This skill has also helped me personally in my own relationship. I tend to handle things maturely and know how to put myself in other people’s shoes, which helps me be an understanding person. Using my own experiences, I thought making a podcast all about relationship advice would be a great idea. I was able to passionately explain my feelings on how to maintain a healthy relationship, and offer some tips for dos and don’ts.
Meet the Pair
MENTEE LYLA MALCOMSON & MENTOR ALIKAY WOOD
Lyla’s Anecdote: Alikay and I hit it off the first day we met! She is so lively and bright every time we hang out, and we both have the same sarcastic tone that I love. I am so fascinated by her career and her college experience, which she never fails to give me amazing advice about. She is an inspiration to me: a strong woman who is always determined to improve her writing. From bonding over coffee and croissants to discovering a new café every week, I am so grateful for her help in this journey of mine. I can’t wait to call her up in ten years and fill her in on my life!
Alikay’s Anecdote: My first thought when I met Lyla was: This person is way too cool to hang out with me. Spending every Sunday morning caffeinating together has only confirmed that Lyla has the confidence and drive I dreamed of as a teenager. I’m consistently impressed with her intelligence, curiosity, and honesty. She pushes herself to participate in workshops, challenge herself in her writing, and to dream big about her future. I’m so proud of how much she’s grown in these past few months and can’t wait to see her take over the world.
