Join Girls Write Now for a Writing Works Deep Dive on Interviews and Thank You Emails! Led by Girls Write Now Fellow Sally Familia, attendees will be guided through the art of the interview, where we will provide tips and tricks that can be used for in-person and virtual interviews and identify best practices for interview preparation so that you land the role! Mentees will also explore the components of a thank you letter after the interview and be able to recognize what makes a great thank you letter.

Inspired by her Great-Aunt Bessie’s legacy, Gigi Coleman created an organization called The Bessie Coleman Aviation All-Stars and one-woman show to share Bessie’s too often ignored history with the world. Join us in partnership with Barbie for a celebration of resilience as Gigi Coleman honors her great-aunt and shares her remarkable story.

In this workshop Writer and Director Lagueria Davis will teach about different types of documentaries and share the process of screenwriting for participatory documentaries. You'll hear about the sweet victories and the frustrating challenges, the truth and the myths, as well as the ins and outs of framing a documentary film. Join us to learn how to honor your unique voice and experience, while gaining the skills and insight to write personal voice over. It's all about your unique point of view and the choices you make in telling your story.
